Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about exchange rates, currency conversion, and how we work.

How often are exchange rates updated?

Rates are updated at least every minute. When you load a page or use the converter, you see the latest data from our provider (ExchangeRate API).

Where do the exchange rates come from?

We use ExchangeRate API (open.er-api.com), which aggregates rates from multiple financial data sources. For more detail, see our data sources page.

Why does my bank show a different rate?

We show mid-market (interbank-style) rates. Banks and currency exchange services typically add a spread or margin, so the rate they offer may be different. Always confirm the rate with your bank or provider before transacting.

Can I use these rates for trading or contracts?

Our rates are for information only. They are not intended for trading, contracts, or formal valuations. For official or binding rates, use a licensed financial institution or data provider.

How do I convert a specific amount?

Use the converter on the homepage, or go to a pair page (e.g. USD to EUR), enter an amount, and click Convert. You can also open a direct conversion page like /convert/100-usd-to-eur for 100 USD to EUR.

What currencies are supported?

We support major and many other currencies (e.g. USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, CHF, MAD, INR, AED, and more). The exact list is shown on the rates table and in the converter.
